Thirty years of putting healing in people’s hands
Dr. S. Ravichandran holds an M.D. in Acupuncture, a diploma in Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences (D.N.Y.S.), a master’s degree and a Ph.D. He has practised acupuncture, acupressure, foot reflexology, Varma, herbal, flower and magnet therapy continuously since 1995.
What sets his work apart is scale and access. Rather than confine treatment to a clinic, he has taken it to residents’ associations, schools, churches, police stations and old-age homes — over 500 free camps and 100 awareness seminars, many attended by senior civil servants, police officers and members of the judiciary who endorsed the trust’s work.
He is a pioneer of foot reflexology awareness in Chennai, convening the city’s 1st Foot Reflexology Awareness Conference in 2018, and has trained hundreds of students through the trust’s NASD-approved diploma programmes, many of whom now run practices of their own.
Milestones
1995
Begins practice in acupuncture, acupressure and foot reflexology in Chennai.
2003
First large free acupressure treatment camp with Anna Nagar Welfare Association.
2005
Registers the trust (Regd. No. 271/2005) to formalise free camps and public education.
2006
Trust magazine released by T.S. Panchapakesan IPS, Inspector General of Police (Retd.).
2007–08
Camps with the District Collector of Chennai and the Joint Commissioner of Police; launches first-aid acupressure training for police and students.
2010
Awareness camp graced by Hon’ble Justice P. Jothimani of the Madras High Court.
2015–16
Institutes annual World Acupuncture Day awareness camps in Chennai.
2018
Convenes Chennai’s 1st Foot Reflexology Awareness Conference at Asha Nivas.
2026
Hosts World Foot-Reflexology Day 2026 — stress-management seminar and Best Foot Reflexology Service Awards.
